A life-long deepening of the experience and understanding of one’s faith is both a responsibility of the individual believer and a duty of the community. It is most heartening to be enlightened that the charismatic retreat centres in the state of Kerala are marvelously contributing to adult catechesis in the Christian community. Both the participant and the animators of the retreats are unanimous in verbalizing their experience. This book is based on a scientific and systematic study of some of the retreat centres. The findings are indeed enthusing. Even those not so very enthusiastic about the charismatic movement or the retreat centres are bound to be inspired by the facts and figures this study has discovered.
